THE DISCOVERY CENTER (GENIUS LOCI) - SITE ANALYSIS, SITE RESPONSE AND DESIGN CONCEPT
Project 2 is the design of the Discovery Center (aka Visitor Center) for Kampung Janda Baik in Janda Baik, Pahang. The project design brief called for an architectural response to a sense of place, with a strong engagement and relationship to site and programmatic requirements. Project 2a requires an analysis of the site context as a starting point. Project 2a is a "tutorial team" group project. In groups of sixteen (16), the team needs to intelligently distribute the given tasks to perform the site analysis.
